New Classes Scheduled and added to our Online Calendar at Fabrics Galore and Quilting Store – Blairsville GA.

Greetings Quilting, Crafting and Sewing Friends and Fans.

We’re lining up some really clever classes for the next several months at Fabrics Galore and Quilting Store in Blairsville GA. Class sizes are limited to 10 people, so if you see a class that you’d like to be sure to get a seat for, visit the item on our calendar where you can both prepay and register for the class.

Mirror Image Thread Painted Cardinal

Saturday, September 10, 10am to 4pm

Thread painted mirror image of Cardinal created in a wood embroidery hoop after the background has been quilted with a walking foot.

The cardinal is thread painted on stabilizers using a wood embroidery hoop with a set screw to tighten, 7 inches is the best size.

Block of the Month Clubs and August Classes Scheduled

Greetings Fellow Quilters!

We’ve added two new Block of the Month Clubs with links to the detailed calendar page for extra info.

Thangles Block of the Month Club.

This will be a six month club.

The Thangles BOM will begin Monday, August 17th and will continue to meet the third Monday of each month, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Gemstone Block of the Month Club

The Gemstone Block of the Month Club will begin Saturday, September 5th and will continue to meet the first Saturday of each month, from 9:30 am to 10:00 am.

Beginners Rag Quilt Class Posted

Learn how to make a beautiful lap quilt just like the one pictured here, using your favorite fabric patterns.

Your finished Quilt size will be 46 x 60 Lap, using 9 inch squares, and you get a free pattern.

Class details: 10am to 6pm

Class Fee: $35.00

Class size is limited to 10 students so pre-registration is highly recommended to reserve your seat.

Fabric needed: (6) half yard cuts of choice, 3 yards Osnaburg, 3 yards Flannel.
