September is National Sewing Month!
While we’re on the subject of Brother Sewing Machines, we’re celebrating National Sewing Month. We’ve collaborated with Brother corporate on a promotional sale that starts September 17th and goes to the end of the month, September 30th. Misty Mountain Quilt Fest is scheduled for Friday, September 22nd and Saturday, September 23rd.
This quilt show is an annual event with door prizes, vendors, quilt raffle, exhibits, demos, certified quilt appraisals and so much more. If you’re a part of the North Georgia quilting community, you don’t want to miss this fun event. $6.00 admission, sponsored by Misty Mountain Quilters Guild – QUILTFEST. Details below! Long Arm Certification Class – September 30th 10am to 4pm
Learn to quilt your own quilts. In the class you will learn how to load your quilt and the basics of using the machine, such as bringing up the thread from the bottom, starting and ending, and a whole lot more. You have to take this class to get certified if you want to rent time on our Long Arm Quilting Machine. Class $100. Pre-pay and registration required. This is a very popular class and we have limited space, so recommend visiting our website to register early.
Sewing TGIF Club. Sewing TGIF = Sewing Together Gets It Finished. No Club Fee (free).
Join us on Fridays 10am to 4pm to get projects done and collaborate with other quilters and other club members. October 6th is cancelled due to Leaf Lookers Event.

A FEW CLUB AND BOM DATE CHANGES – REMINDERS
Wool Club:
We meet next for Wool Club on FRIDAY, September 8th.
Forest Floor BOM – Date Change for October Only
This is just a reminder for Forest Floor BOM participants that in the month of October, our class will meet the second Saturday (due to event conflict) instead of the first Saturday. Update your calendars to Saturday, October 14th.
Happy Hour Club day of week meet has changed.
This club session is now scheduled on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Please update your calendars.
One Day Fat Quarter Quilt Class Saturday, October 28th 10am to 3pm.
Get registered for this one day Fat Quarter Quilt Class where we’ll be making the pattern “Raindrops” quilt with as few as 18 fat quarters for a crib size. All the details are provided on our Calendar so get registered early. Limited seating.

3rd Annual Leaf Looker Loop – Mini Shop Hop – Friday and Saturday October 6-7th Event
If you love quilting events, grab your quilting buddies October 6th and 7th and get ready to join us for our 3rd Annual Leaf Looker Loop Shop Hop. Three North Georgia area quilt shops participate with prizes, giveaways, drawings and more and of course enjoy the beauty of our autumn leaves as you travel between all the 3 shops located in Blairsville, Dahlongega and Blue Ridge Georgia. What a fun way to spend an autumn Friday and Saturday.
