February is here and so are lots of new classes!

Dearest Quilting Friends,

On behalf of Fabrics Galore and Quilting Store, we sincerely apologize for the minimal communication through our blog as we ventured into 2016.   With such a huge workload behind us in the transition to a new website platform,  point of sale system and the addition of online shopping, we’ve still got lots of refining to do to bring everything up to snuff.   Add to that some very brutal weather conditions in January that closed down North Georgia and many other areas of the USA, we’re paddling like crazy to make sure Fabrics Galore & Quilting Store kicks off the New Year with colorful new fabrics, notions and supplies, and also some fun new classes.

Now, we’ll focus on all the new classes and club meets at Fabrics Galore and Quilting Store, along with our regular in-store sales events.

FABRICS GALORE AND QUILTING STORE is offering online class pre-pay and registration.
Just visit the detail page for any of our classes and checkout with the ADD TO CART button.    There is always limited space so if you want to make sure you’re in on a class be sure to pre-pay, as we do fill up fast.

2016Hey Quilting Community and Friends!

We’ve spent the holidays working very hard to upgrade almost everything related to our operations and website.   Nope, we weren’t eating bon bons and attending holiday parties.   (Although that would have been lots of fun and preferable! LOL. ) However, our goals to grow and improve all of our processes, retail point of sales, and offering

Lots of information will be coming to you real soon.  We’re cleaning up some loose ends and making sure that everything flows smoothly for you.

Don’t worry, we’ll be posting news and highlights right here, very soons that you’re kept informed of all the details about everything happening online at FabricsGaloreandQuiltingStore.com and in our retail store.

We just wanted to take a moment to post a quick update on our news blog to let you know what we’re up to and to keep you in the loop on why you’re seeing some changes when you visit our website.

So hang on to your quilting reins, we’re about to embark on a whole new set of FUN SERVICES, SHOPPING, CLASSES, and all that is involved with processing your orders.

Electric Quilt 7 Quilt Design – Demo and Hands On Intro Classes

Electric Quilt 7 Quilt Design – Demo and Hands On Intro Classes

Electric Quilt 7 Demo and Hands On IntroFabrics Galore and Quilting Store is hosting an introduction to EQ 7 with instructor David Gilleland.

Register early for these interesting sessions – with limited seats available.

First, we’ve scheduled a DEMONSTRATION of Electric Quilt 7 Quilt Design 

Saturday, November 14th from 11am to 1pm at our Blairsville Georgia shop  GET DETAILS HERE for the Demo Class in Blairsville GA

Mr. Gilleland will lead participants through a Demonstration of EQ 7:

Take your quilting into the computer age. Play with color, design and pattern ideas. Rotate or mirror blocks, recolor, and sashing, figure yardage, create borders (with the corners automatically calculated), generate accurate patterns and more with the click of a mouse. Many of the commands are what you are already familiar with from computers, phones and iPads.

Secondly, we’ve scheduled a Hands On class for more serious learners.  

Saturday, December 12th from 11am to 2pm at our Blairsville Georgia shop.  GET DETAILS HERE for the Hands On Class in Blairsville GA

This is a class very suitable for beginners, but more experienced quilters may also benefit from the hands on session.

Bring your computer with EQ 6 or 7 loaded and spend time exploring the program (or just come to watch). Design blocks, quilts and borders from scratch and from the EQ library.
