We are fast approaching the busiest time of the year for most people, the holidays! 

Many people are busy trying to finish those special handmade gifts for those they love.  All of us here at Fabrics Galore and Quilting Store have been busy too.  But, we need your help.  Our fellow quilters who attended this years’ North Georgia Sweet Peach Retreat made beautiful “beach bags” as one of their challenges. 

We asked each quilter who participated to donate their “beach bag”, which needed to be large enough to hold a lap size quilt.  That is where each of you come in.  We would like to fill those “beach bags” with a lap size quilt to donate to those less fortunate. 

Each individual who donates a quilt will receive a coupon to Fabrics Galore and Quilting Store for 30% off an entire purchase on any given day, some exclusions apply.  We will be gifting these items to the S.A.F.E. organization locally.  The deadline for quilt drop-offs is December 10, 2025.

Once again we would like to invite each of you to join us next year for our 5th Annual North Georgia Sweet Peach Retreat 2026. 

The retreat is held at Brasstown Vally Resort, Young Harris, Georgia.  The dates for next year’s retreat are September 8, 9, and 10, 2026.  The cost for the retreat is $435.00.  Hotel accommodations are not included in the retreat cost.  However, we have been able to secure an exceptional room rate this year for those attending.  For additional information, please contact us at Fabrics Galore & Quilting Store.
